Controlling shoot and promoting flower growth can promote early and multiple fruiting of Dongkui Yangmei, achieving the goal of high yield and quality. The beautiful shape of Fujian Yangmei tree can promote shoot and flower growth, and Dongkui Yangmei tree is vigorous and allows for natural flowering and fruiting. Firstly, it will reduce the amount of flowering and fruiting, and secondly, it will delay the flowering and fruiting time. At the same time, the fruit quality is also not ideal. Therefore, it is very important to control shoot and promote flower growth of Dongkui Yangmei. For young trees with a crown diameter exceeding 2 meters that have not yet entered flowering and fruiting, measures should be taken to control shoots and promote flowering. The method is to apply 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder from mid October to early November, and apply 0.4-0.5 grams of paclobutrazol active ingredients per square meter of tree crown projection area for soil application. The shoot control effect is fast and good, and each Dongkui Yangmei tree can only be applied once in its lifetime. Alternatively, during the autumn shoot sprouting period from late August to early September, spraying a 300-fold solution of 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder on the tree crown can achieve good results and avoid the disadvantage of difficulty in controlling the amount of soil application.
